Microsoft Keeping Fine 03/01/2009
In one of those rare occurrences, Microsoft finds itself doing well in Japan. According to industry tracker Media Create, the Xbox 360 comfortably outsold its competition last week, with 25,334 units shipped to the Nintendo Wii’s 16,973 and the Sony PlayStation 3’s 16,149. Nintendo’s DSi handheld still retained the top spot by a wide margin, though, with 41,839 units sold. It was followed by the PSP, with 29,552 units sold. Wii for the seniors 03/01/2009
Elderly residents will be able to show their grandchildren a thing or two about how to use their Wii, thanks to a generous donation from a local bikers’ group. The White Horse Wings Bikers’ Group donated £1,200 to staff and residents at Church View care home in Stratton St Margaret so they could buy a Nintendo Wii console with games and a Wii fit board. Nintendo is expanding the video game audience; Nielson Media Research is suggesting that Wii fare best with young boys and older women. Nintendo console is a good job that is attracting boys ages 6-11 and women 25-34. The usage of the Wii by women over 35 is much higher than with the Xbox 360 and PS3. Students in all schools in Kingsport are using an interactive program to learn about the heart and heart health. There was $6,000 investment in the Heart Adventure program from Cardiovascular Associates. The program has a special connection with Washington Elementary as there are teachers who suggested.
